The word “rest” has its origin in the Greek word anapauo. In a Jungian orientation, we might view anapauo as surrendering our egoic pursuits or orientation long enough for the Self or Soul to speak to us, to feel we don't carry our burdens alone.

Rest is about far more than sleep or time off work or letting off steam with a false spirit, that is alcohol.
