Loved this message today. I took up rink rollerskating. I'm 52. I go every Monday night. It has me moving and meeting new people and flying in a circle with wheels on my feet! Weeeee!

Amazing! When I put my roller skates on (I'm really not good at it), I feel like back to my 10th birthday party at the roller rink!

Love this! Your enthusiasm is beautiful and contagious. (Hi Juno!!) I finally took up the ukulele just over a year ago after wanting to learn it or guitar for decades. And I'm loving it. Have you read any of Mark Rashid's books? He's a cowboy and a wonderful storyteller who took up aikido later in life, and found insightful parallels between it and horsemanship and living life in general (though he admits in later books that some of the dojos he trained at were too hard core, with too high a rate of injuries). Worth looking up his stuff.

Thank you, Lindsay! I haven't read any of his work. Sounds like a resonant intersection for me. You see me. x

You're welcome :) I believe "Horsemanship Through Life" is the first book where M.R. delves into aikido. x

Love this Jane! Have always tried to love by this motto but you are so right that as we get older there seems to be more a push back against doing something new. Wishing you luck with your belt test! X
